Stronger Together Industry Update 2023

MATES in Construction National CEO, Chris Lockwood.

Welcome to MATES Stronger Together 2023 Edition. As we return to more normal working conditions, we here at MATES have been steadily ramping up our training to sites and seeing tremendous growth in our General Awareness Talks – over 30,000 new MATES Inducted workers, 4,500 new Connectors and 300 new ASIST volunteers, all ready to help a mate in their workplace.

Building on the good work of our volunteers in 2022, this year we are adding exciting fundraising and awareness events to the calendar, including MATES Big Lap for the whole month of May and a return of the Kokoda Trek later in the year. See the back page for more information.

We also have some new projects heading into action. If you’re a Connector or ASIST volunteer, keep an eye on your emails for MATES updates.

We hope this edition brings you plenty of inspiration for a fantastic 2023!
